When I first came across ALT Roofing’s old website on the Wayback Machine, it was like stepping into a time capsule. Built using Adobe Flash, the site had long since stopped working — not just because Flash was discontinued in 2020, but also because it lacked an SSL certificate, meaning most browsers wouldn’t even show the error message. It simply… disappeared.

🔎 Curious, I looked deeper and found the site had been down for over 5 years. No updates, no traffic, and worse — no way for potential customers to reach them. So I took a chance and reached out directly to the owner.

After a few emails back and forth, I explained what had happened, why the site was broken, and what their options were. I offered to build a new, modern website — mobile-friendly, secured with HTTPS, and easy to manage moving forward.
